The Special Olympics Athlete Oath: “Let me win. But if I cannot win, let me brave in the attempt.”
Basketball is a favorite sport at Special Olympics Delaware. Players of all ages and abilities compete to the delight of the cheering fans. On Saturday, March 18 at the Bob Carpenter Center, Delaware Special Olympics put forth their finest and bravest athletes to compete in their State Basketball Tournament, and PAC was there with the assist. John Coates, PAC COO, brought his “And One” Gracie, and together they announced and distributed awards at the awards ceremony. Lynne Klosowski was in her zone at the scorekeeper’s table, counting baskets, fouls, and cheering on the athletes.
PAC volunteers were rewarded with a fun and exciting day of cooperation and competition.
People wishing to volunteer for Special Olympics Delaware can get involved with the Special Olympics Program in their community, or for short commitment event-specific roles like this one. Opportunities are available here.
