Precision AirConvey recently donated six Hewlett-Packard laptops to West End Neighborhood House, a nonprofit helping the community in Wilmington’s “Little Italy” district to reach educational and career goals. The donation was made to honor Durrell Downing, an employee who came to Precision AirConvey through the West End Neighborhood House job training and placement program.
“Durrell truly embodies our core values of service, excellence, and creativity,” said Tom Embley, Chief Executive Officer at Precision AirConvey. “Initially, Durrell was a temporary apprentice through the West End Neighborhood House job training program. He became such a valued part of our team during his time here that we offered him a job when the program ended because we didn’t want him to leave. We are making this donation to West End Neighborhood House to give back to an organization that has given so much to PAC and to help aid in helping those in the community, who rely on their services, to reach their goals.”
As Mechanical Technician on the Technical/Production Team, Durrell assembles and packages parts and assists in shipping and receiving. He has worked at Precision AirConvey for two years and has over six years of experience in the field. Durrell helps with installations and the experience he has accumulated over the years makes him a favorite “go-to” person at PAC. Durrell lives in Wilmington, Del. In his spare time he enjoys reading and studying ancient history.
